A friend asked me to research this topic Here are my top 5 choices for Scoliosis support. A combination of these oils in a blend could have a synergy effect on overall benefits.
Oregano (antioxidant)
Oregano is a natural anti-inflammatory and soothing which helps muscles that surround the spine to relax this reducing pain and allowing more flexibility in that area of the body. (As this is considered a ‘hot oil’ you must dilute this oil)
Peppermint and Thyme
The slow build-up of microbes in the spine of someone suffering from scoliosis can exacerbate or speedup the process of spine malformation. Peppermint and Thyme oils are natural antibiotics that can be applied directly onto the spine or area of inflammation. This can help to boost the immune system and eliminate the gradual build-up of pathogens that can compromise your spinal integrity.
Ginger
Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory and pain relief Studies have been conducted on Ginger for its common effect on joint health; however, Ginger is best known as a digestive aid and for helping to ease occasional indigestion and nausea. Ginger essential oil can also be applied topically or inhaled to help reduce feelings of nausea.
Frankincense
As well as being an anti-inflammatory itself, Frankincense has amplification properties when mixed with other oils, amplifying the effects and benefits of other oils, and working in a synergy effect.
Frankincense is one of the most prized and precious essential oils due to its rich aroma and extensive health benefits. Distilled from the resin of Boswellia trees, Frankincense has been highly valued for over 5,000 years. Frankincense resin is edible and is eaten in parts of Africa to aid digestion*
Taken internally, Frankincense promotes cellular function and the health of the joints, liver, lungs, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, and urinary tract systems. New research shows Frankincense may support a healthy immune function response and healthy brain activity. Rich in Alpha-pinene, Frankincense is emotionally calming and stabilizing. When diffused or applied topically, Frankincense oil induces feelings of peace, satisfaction, and overall wellness.

Thank you for the info on the 5 oils for Scoliosis.
I would like to prepare this blend for my daughter in law. How many drops of each oil should I blend with FCO?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP🙂
The Dilution ratio would depend on the age of the child this is quick reference guide https://www.www.deonb.com/dilution-of-essential-oils/
My son is 29. How do I apply, mix?
There are two ways to mix oils, one is in a glass bottle, and just mix the required amount together.
The other way is called layering, where you rub one oil on the skin at a time.
I would apply or add Frankincense first, as it is a heavier oil. Ginger and Oregano, are hot oils and should always be diluted. Peppermint and Thyme are the lightest oils and I would add them last.
How should I use it? Layering or blend?
Either will be fine, but I prefer blending, so oils work together more. Layering is great for perfume, or experimenting how it works with your skin. Once you have a collection that works you can blend them.
Hello! Do I need both Thyme and Peppermint?
No, you would not need both, one or the other would suffice as they both have the antibiotics. If you already have one, not need to rush out to get the other, this is just so you have more options to you.
1-2 drops oregano,
5 drops thyme,
10 drops peppermint,
5 drops ginger
and 10 drops frankincense in a 10 ml roller bottler topped with fractionated coconut oil
How many times do you apply on the spine? Do you apply from the top to bottom or only on the problematic part? Thank you!
